Top Ten Tuesday- Most anticipated releases for the first half of 2019

Hello everyone! Today I’m going to share my top ten most anticipated releases for the first half of the year. I probably won’t get round to reading all of them but that doesn’t mean I can’t get excited for their releases!

(1) King of Scars by Leigh Bardugo

King of Scars gathers of all my favourite characters from the previous Grisha books: Nikolai, Zoya and Nina. I can’t wait! Release date: 29 January 2019

(2) The Wicked King by Holly Black

After the giant plot twist at the end of The Cruel Prince I need to know what will happen next, especially to Jude and Cardan. Release date: Today!

(3) The Priory of the Orange Tree by Samantha Shannon

This is an epic fantasy with 800+ pages and I can’t wait to get stuck into it. Release date: 26 February 2019

(4) The Bird King by G. Willow Wilson

I’m so excited to read this fantasy set in Muslim Spain. Release date: 12 March 2019

(5) The Gilded Wolves by Roshani Chokshi

It’s a heist story set in Paris, 1889 that’s perfect for fans of Six Of Crows.  Release date: 15 January 2019

(6) The Everlasting Rose by Dhonielle Clayton

I’m intrigued to see what will happen next after how The Belles ended. Release date: 5 March 2019

(7) Children of Virtue and Vengeance by Tomi Adeyemi

I adored Children of Blood and Bone and I can’t wait for this series to continue. Release date: 5 March 2019

(8) The Afterward by E.K. Johnston

This is a high fantasy romance and it has knights. It sounds very interesting. Release date: 19 February 2019

(9) Lady Smoke by Laura Sebastian

This is the second book in the Ash Princess series. I liked the first book more than I thought I would, hopefully this book will be the same. Release date: 5 February 2019

(10) The Antidote by Shelley Sackier

This is about a girl with magic in a world where it is banned. Release date: 5 February 2019
